While the main attraction is obviously the blockbuster clash between the Sharks and Broncos, plenty of action is assured both on and off the field at Southern Cross Group Stadium on Sunday.

Before the combatants come together at 4.00pm the Sharks have a number of activities planned, including the launch of the Sharks Have Heart Foundation, the game day Community Partner.

The Sharks Have Heart Foundation aims to build healthier and stronger communities through our programs, develop people through welfare and education initiatives, provide state-of-the-art facilities for our elite athletes and enable the Sharks to help those most in need in our community.

Big screen presentations on the day will explain more about the Sharks Have Heart Foundation, with more information also available via www.Sharksfoundation.com.au.

Other big screen and on field activations will include junior rugby league and touch football demonstrations and a dance routine performed by the nationally renowned Sharks Mermaids.

Before the big boys take to field the Sharks will also recognise and honour the achievement of Ben Barba reaching the 150 NRL game milestone, with a video highlights package of some of the enigmatic fullback’s greatest moments.

Away from the action on the field a range of activities will keep the young more occupied, with the inflatable obstacle course, the Sharks slide and 6-in-1 castle proving extremely popular at recent home games.

McDonald’s Face Painters will be adding some colour to the day, the Mermaids and Sharks mascots will be roaming the outer ground and the atmosphere and noise will be ramped up by the drummer and enthusiastic Sharks supporters in the Shark Tank.

And to keep the hunger pains at bay, those in attendance will have an array of fantastic food options to choose, ranging from Berlin Bangers German Sausages, to Cantina Movil Mexican food, Street Sliders, the Pizza trailer, Cheese Toasties, Cherry Highway Ice creams and treats and the Howling Forrest coffee van.

Then after the full-time whistle blows, don’t head for the car or the special game day transport, drop into Sharks Leagues Club to see Steve Hart and the All Stars appear in the main bar from 6.30pm.

There’s plenty to look forward to when the Sharks take on the ladder-leading Brisbane Broncos. Don’t miss out and be a part of the crowd at Southern Cross Group Stadium this Sunday.
