The Newtown Jets travel to Cessnock this week in the Intrust Super Premiership’s ‘Country Round’ with all round 9 matches are to be played at regional venues.

The Jets, who sit in third place on the ISP ladder, play the Wentworthville Magpies.

Again with the Sharks NRL team in good form and boasting a low injury count, 10 from Cronulla’s NRL squad have been included in the Newtown side.

David Fifita has missed out on a place in the Sharks NRL 17 and comes into the Jets front row, along with Jesse Sene-Lafao, making up a formidable combination for the Jets in the middle of the park.

Mitch Brown is missing with a minor knee complaint, with the very capable Arana Taumata stepping into the fullback role, while Fifita’s inclusion sees Junior Roqica go back to the interchange bench.

The Jets v Magpies match will be played at the Cessnock Sports Ground on Saturday, with the kick-off at 4.45pm.
