While the physio’s and masseur’s were kept busy on Monday and Tuesday following the Sharks comprehensive victory over the Raiders last weekend, the news on the injury front was again positive.

The Sharks reported no major injury concerns, at least none which are likely to keep any of their NRL squad off the field for the game against the Panthers on Sunday.

Jayson Bukuya returned after missing a week with a hand injury and showed no ill-effects in Canberra, with the backrower again playing a leading role in the Sharks win.

Despite being absent in Canberra due to suspension, the news surrounding Luke Lewis was also positive, with the new Dad able to spend some quality time on the weekend with his newborn baby girl while his teammates were getting a victory in the National Capital.

Lewis will return refreshed and ready to go for the Sharks on Sunday.

As for the boys representing Newtown in the Intrust Super Premiership, while their pride was a little hurt after going down to the Illawarra Cutters, they came away with their health intact, with all now having this week off to rest up and refresh due to the Jets having the bye.

The Sharks trained earlier today and have two more field sessions before Sunday’s game against the Panthers.
