Canberra Raiders hooker Josh Hodgson has been a dominant force in his side’s play this year and will be looking to do the same against the Sharks

Currently leading the 2016 Dally M Medal scoreboard, Hodgson’s work out of dummy half has bee key to the Raiders’ go forward this season.

Under an injury cloud with a hand injury heading into today’s match, Hodgson will be given until right before kick-off to prove his fitness.

He wasn't giving away too much during the week when questioned on his availability for today's match.

“I’m not really too sure about the weekend and it’s still pretty sore but all the movement in there’s pretty good,” said Hodgson.

“There’s thankfully no breaks which is good but it’s still pretty sore at the moment so we’re just going to have to wait to see how it settles down and how it pulls up for the weekend.

“It might be a last minute thing so we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Hodgson’s influence was felt when he left the field during his side’s loss to Parramatta in their last start so Ricky Stuart is believed to be giving his hooker until the 11th hour to prove his fitness.

Stay tuned to the Late Mail article at 1pm today to see both the Sharks and Raiders full team lists.
