After a gutsy come-from-behind win at their last start the NYC Sharks will be intent on continuing their solid start to 2016 when they take on the Raiders in Canberra on Sunday morning.

The young Sharks bounced back from a 20-6 deficit in their match against the Titans last Sunday before running out 32-20 winners, with John Morris’s outfit showing good fighting qualities in their five matches to start the season.

After four wins from five starts and with a deferred game in hand, the Sharks are currently fourth and can move further up the ladder with a win at GIO Stadium this weekend.

The Sharks however won’t have it all their own way against a Canberra side which boasts a three and three record and who come into this game on the back of a loss to the Parramatta Eels last round.

Morris has stuck with the team that got the job done against the Titans, with Will Kennedy retaining his place at fullback for the Canberra match after playing his first full game in the position this season after having earlier filled in at half back.

The NYC Sharks v Raiders match gets underway bright and early, with kick off scheduled for 9:40am.
