The Newtown Jets will look to continue their impressive form when they tackle the Bulldogs in a Friday night match to be played at Belmore Sports Ground.

Winners by 38-14 against the Tigers last Saturday, the Jets play the Bulldogs for the second time in just six rounds, with the two teams finishing in a 20-all draw at their previous meeting back in week one of the 2016 season.

While the Jets have managed three wins in four starts since their round one tie, the Bulldogs have struggled, with four subsequent losses seeing them stranded at the bottom of the Intrust Super Premiership ladder.

With the Sharks NRL team healthy and reporting no current injury concerns, the Jets are the beneficiaries, with 11 Cronulla-contracted full time players in the 19-man Newtown squad for Friday night’s match.

After missing two weeks due to an infection in his knee, David Fifita returned to the field for the Jets last weekend and will again wear the royal blue of Newtown in their round six clash with the Bulldogs.

His go forward is set to provide a big bonus for a Jets team which sits in third place and just one behind the competition leaders.

The Jets team for the match which kicks off 7.30pm has been announced and is listed below.
