Sharks Captain Paul Gallen fronted the media at Sydney airport this afternoon as he and the side returned from Townsville.
With the team's Round 1 clash with the Cowboys hanging in the balance, the Skipper was forced to leave the field with a knee injury.
Not to return to the field upon his second time up the tunnel, a dejected Gallen remains none the wiser as to the extent of his pending layoff.
"I've had a terrible night's sleep," Gallen said. "I just want to get the scan done."
