In a first for The Saturday Paper, a publication known for its coverage of current affairs, culture and Australian politics, a rugby league player, a Cronulla Shark for that matter, has appeared as the subject for their weekly sporting profile.

Michael Ennis, the inspirational Sharks hooker, who runs out tonight for the season-opening match against the Cowboys, recently spoke to The Saturday Paper sports editor Richard Cooke.

Always one to be honest and open, Ennis covered a wide range of issues and topics in the in-depth interview, from how he enjoyed his football in 2015 in his first season at the Sharks, to the passion he has for his work in the community.
