Local Cronulla resident Yvette Parker - alike the 9,999 who went before her - signed up to become a Sharks Member last week, unknowing of the fanfare that would follow.

"It's awesome, I can't describe it," she said. "Ten thousand people (have become Members)... I can't wait for the season to begin."

Parker was invited to Sharks training on Monday to see the squad go about their preparations for their Round 1 clash with the Cowboys.

Not only was she a witness to her favourite players in action, Parker was snapped by local news outlet, the Leader, who today ran a feature article on the milestone Member.

Excited by the side's prosepcts in 2016, Parker says she's confident of the side's chances this season.

Watch the interview with Parker, now playing on Sharks TV.
