Sharks Head Coach Shane Flanagan has spoken to the media following his side's 30-all draw with the Wests Tigers at Campbelltown Stadium.

Flanagan praised the effort of his side in the first half however believed there was room for improvement after watching how they performed in the second.

"I was really happy with the first half," said Flanagan.

"I thought they did I what I wanted them to do in the first half. We defended pretty strongly.

"We made a few changes in the second half and unfortunately we got sloppy, however that's what happens in trials."

Flanagan believes his side is in a good position ahead of the 2016 season but acknowledges that there is plenty of room for improvement.

"I said to the boys that I'm glad the second half happened.

"If you don't bag your possession and you give the opposition 60% of the possession then you're not going to win football games."

Flanagan also spoke about the looming fullback selection between Bird and Barba, the use of Holmes on the wing and his ever-reliable skipper Paul Gallen.
