As Shane Flanagan went about naming his squad for the Auckland Nines, so too did his rival coaches, as attentions now firmly turn to this weekend's short-form tournament.

With the Sharks to first square off with the Titans, the Gold Coast have named a team brimming with young talent, whilst also featuring the experience of new recruits Chris McQueen and Tyrone Roberts.

Local rivals the Dragons (7:30PM) meanwhile have listed NSW Blues star Josh Dugan as skipper, as the Raiders have put together a pacey squad featuring the likes of Brenko Lee and Jordan Rapana.
