Paul Gallen’s fight with Queenslander Herman Ene-Purcell, scheduled for tonight in Toowoomba is officially a sell-out.
All tickets have been snapped up for what is a much-anticipated bout, with the Sharks skipper taking on Ene-Purcell for a second time after stopping him the second round back in February of 2014 in what was Gallen’s first professional fight.
Since that previous bout Gallen has fought three times and carries a 4-0 record into this second fight with the stocky Queenslander.
Similarly Ene-Purcell has gained some added ring experience over the past two years having fought eight times for six wins and comes into the contest confident of turning the tables this time around.
“This is the biggest mistake Gal has ever made. He shouldn’t have waited this long to take me on. I am such a better fighter now,” Ene-Purcell said. “When we first fought all I had was power because I hadn’t been training for long.
“Now I know how to time punches. Paul won that first fight fair and square and he’s a talented boxer but I am such a better fighter now.
“We went after the rematch earlier and he should have accepted then when I was less experienced. He waited too long,’’ he added.
The four-round bout between Gallen and Ene-Purcell will be the main event, with the Fight Night and undercard getting underway at 8.00pm.
