In an exciting development and a major boost to the club young gun Jack Bird has signed a contract extension which will see him remain at the Sharks through until at least the end of the 2017 season.

The 2015 NRL Rookie of the Year, Bird has agreed to new terms for 2016 and the 12-month extension into 2017.

Following the signing of his new contract Bird spoke with Sharks TV, speaking about his both his relief and his excitement to have finally put pen to paper on the new Sharks contract.

In an extensive interview, Bird also answered speculation as to which position he might play in 2016, while also touching on the upcoming NRL Auckland Nines.
