NRL Press release

2016 Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines Jerseys Unveiled

All 16 NRL clubs today unveiled their Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines jerseys ahead of the tournament at Eden Park on 6 and 7 February next year.

The carnival-like tournament will be the first and only time in 2016 that all clubs will compete at the same ground on the same day, with many players likely to make their debuts for new clubs.

New Knights recruit Trent Hodkinson is looking forward to the occasion and the chance to have his first run with his new team-mates.

“The Nines is an exciting tournament and there are plenty of chances across the weekend to see all the teams in action,” he said.

Defending champions, the South Sydney Rabbitohs will be looking to get their season off to a winning start, with John Sutton confirming the team will be ready to go.

“Everyone is looking forward to getting over to Auckland and throwing the ball around,” he said.

“The crowds are awesome and I’m sure there will be some spectacular tries and plays on show for the fans.”

Tickets and information on the tournament can be found at www.nrl.com/tickets
