Having played a leading role in the Club's successes at both Matts and SG Ball level this season, newly appointed NYC Head Coach John Morris addressed his 20s squad at their induction night on Wednesday evening.

NRL Coach Shane Flanagan was also on hand, and having coached Morris in his time as the Sharks regular number 9, he said it was an 'easy decision' to recommend the 300 gamer as the Holden Cup coach for 2016.

"I learned a lot under 'Flano' ... with my experiences and with what I've learned through my coaching, I hope I can impart some of that knowledge upon these young kids," Morris said.

Morris spoke to Sharks TV following the induction, and said the new challenge is one that he is both excited for, and looking forward to.
