Jack Bird burst onto the grand stage with a formidable showing against the Roosters in Round 5, and the NRL Rookie of the Year's efforts have been duly noted as the Sharks' best individual performance of 2015.

Making his NRL debut the week prior against the Titans at Remondis Stadium, Bird would earn his first start in Shane Flanagan's starting side against the 2013 premiers away from home.

Billed as a player with plenty of spark and potential, Bird showcased his talents against one of the competition's heavyweights, in scoring a double and putting Val Holmes away for a try also.
