From when the Cowboys entered the then-ARL competition in 1995, the Sharks had the wood on the men from up North, winning 13 from the first 14 matches played against the Queensland side.
But even more remarkably, 12 of these wins came in succession as the Sharks went 2,219 days without tasting defeat against the Cowboys.
From Round 12 in 1997 through until Round 16 of 2003, the Cronulla side put together a run that rivalled no other of their own.
And while more recent history hasn't been quite so one-sided, the Sharks will be out to make it three consecutive wins when the sides meet again this Saturday night.
