The Sharks welcome the return of Luke Lewis for the match against the Storm on Monday, with the international back-rower having overcome a knee injury suffered in the round 20 match at Belmore.

Lewis suffered a medial ligament strain in his knee in the Bulldogs clash but he has worked tirelessly in a bid to return to the field, with his efforts rewarded with his timely return this week.

The addition of Lewis into the Sharks squad comes as a bonus considering the loss of Sam Tagataese due to suspension and the unavailability of the Fifita twins Andrew and David.

Lewis has been named in the Sharks starting side, with Anthony Tupou moving back to the interchange bench, while Matt Prior takes Tagataese’s spot in the front row.

In another positive to come from the Sharks victory over the Cowboys, there were no other major injury concerns, with the long turn around into the Monday night match against Melbourne set to give all players an extended break to get over any niggling injury issues.

The Fifita’s have officially returned to training and the pair are working hard on their fitness in a bid to be ready to go if and when required when their suspensions have expired.
