Round 16, 2010: The Sharks took to Townsville to face a Cowboys side that had won just 4 of their previous 15 games in season 2010.

Buoyed by a home crowd and in desperate need of two competition points, the Cowboys shot out to an early lead and maintained an 18-point buffer heading into the half-time break.

Not to be deterred by the challenge in front of them, the Sharks mounted a miraculous comeback and levelled the game at 18-apiece with ten minutes to play.

But as is so often the case with the Cowboys, cometh the moment, cometh the man.

Johnathan Thurston stepped up to slot a field goal to see his side in front, but not to be out done, hooker John Morris levelled the scores at 19 and sent the game into extra time.

The usually-perfect off the tee Thurston sent a penalty goal wide in Golden Point, before Trent Barrett stepped up to the mark to see the Sharks home 20-19.
