A medial ligament strain in his knee is set to see Luke Lewis sidelined for up to three matches.

Lewis injured his knee in the second half of the match against the Bulldogs at Belmore and was sent to Southern Radiology for scans immediately after the game.

The scans results have revealed that while there is no major damage to the knee, Lewis is still set to be out of action for the next 2-3 weeks.

The loss of Lewis will be a blow to the Sharks for their match against the Warriors, with the experienced back-rower in outstanding form in 2015.

The Sharks reported no other injury concerns from the match on Sunday, with Ben Barba coming through the match unscathed after going into the contest under a slight cloud after missing the win over the Raiders the week prior.

This weekend when they travel to New Zealand the Sharks will also welcome the return of Anthony Tupou for what will be his first game back after breaking his jaw in round nine. Ironically the Tupou injury came the last time the Sharks and Warriors met.
