Head coach at the Sharks from 2007 through 2010, Ricky Stuart knows only too well of the dedication and passion of the Cronulla fans.

As a father to a daughter with autism, he is also well aware of the day-to-day struggles faced by those with the disorder.

Stuart’s understanding comes from his own experience with the disorder, and he has big plans to help families in need.

Prior to his side’s clash with the Sharks on Saturday afternoon the Raiders coach paid a visit to long-time, passionate Cronulla supporter, Sammie Roberts who suffers from autism.

Stuart gave up time prior to the all-important match to talk with Roberts, showing truly that at the end of the day, there are far greater concerns than those that happen on the football field.

Stuart spoke all things Rugby League with the Canberra resident, with Sammie said to have walked away from the meeting with a big smile on her face.

The Cronulla Sharks would like to extend our sincerest thank you to Ricky Stuart and the Canberra Raiders for making Saturday’s visit happen.
