Sharks hooker Michael Ennis will challenge his grade one careless high tackle charge at a judiciary hearing tomorrow night.

Ennis was placed on report and subsequently charged for a tackle on Cowboy Matt Scott in the 69th minute of the match last Saturday night, however after considering his options has decided to fight the charge.

Should he have taken the early guilty plea Ennis would have missed the Sharks game with the Sea Eagles and also thrown into jeopardy a potential opportunity to play for NSW in the Origin decider should Robbie Farah be ruled out with injury as expected.

The time of tomorrow night’s judiciary hearing has yet to be determined.

In other news stemming from match review charges coming from the Cowboys game, Sharks prop Matt Prior has taken the early plea on a grade one dangerous contact/head neck charge, however he will not miss a game.

Prior will have 90 carryover points going forward.
