Sharks hooker hooker Michael Ennis has been charged with a grade one careless tackle on Cowboys prop Matt Scott and is in danger of missing the match against the Sea Eagles in Sunday.

Rated on the low end of the scale, the tackle only attracted 67 points for an early guilty plea, but when added to 38 carry-over points from a charge earlier this season, Ennis would be suspended for the Manly match should be choose not to challenge.

In a charge which could have State of Origin implications following the injury to incumbent NSW hooker Robbie Farah, Ennis would also be ruled out of contention as a potential replacement should he accpet the early plea.

The Sharks have until tomorrow to determine whether or not to fight the charge.

In other match review committee news, Matt Prior was also charged for with dangerous contact/head or neck grade one, however he will not miss a game should be accept the charge and plead guilty.
