Winners of four from their last six starts, the 11th placed Sharks face a Knights team currently two points and two positions ahead of them on the NYC ladder in what shapes as an important game in relation to their finals aspirations.

The Sharks are just one win outside the top eight at the half way mark of the 2015 season, with the match at Hunter Stadium on Sunday a chance to atone for a loss to the Knights on home turf earlier in the year.

Coach James Shepherd has named his team to tackle the Knights, preferring to name NSW Under-18 representatives Curtis Scott and Billy Magoulias on the interchange bench, with the pair set to play for their state tomorrow night in the curtain-raiser to State of Origin game 2.

After successfully making the transition from the SG Ball to the Sharks Holden Cup side in recent weeks both Scott and Magoulias will enter into calculations for Sunday’s game should they come through the 18’s interstate game unscathed.

Jack Williams, another from the all-conquering Sharks SG Ball team, made his NYC debut in the last start loss to the Roosters and has been named on an extended interchange bench.

The Sharks v Knights NYC match is scheduled for an 11.45am kick-off at Hunter Stadium on Sunday.
