Greg Piece debuted in 1969, and played under the tutelage of fellow Club Immortal and Captain-Coach of the time, Tommy Bishop.

Pierce featured in the 1973 Grand Final alongside Bishop, and by the end of his career he would rightly be considered one of the very best players to ever represent the club.

Pierce captained Australia, represented NSW and went away on Kangaroo tours in a highly respected playing career, before hanging the boots up and taking over the reins as First Grade Coach.

A tough tackling lock, Pierce stood apart from many of his contemporaries in that he also possessed wonderful ball playing ability.

Pierce was also a part of the successful 1979 Amco Cup side, pictured here holding the Cup aloft alongside Steve Rogers.
