Sharks Captain Paul Gallen returned to NRL action at the weekend, and the 33-year-old turned in a performance with no evidence that he'd been missing from the side for six weeks.

In a typical display of his workmanship, Gallen took 23 hit ups for 232 metres and made 33 tackles - but none more so crucial than his effort on Daniel Tupou in the 70th minute.

With 10 minutes left on the clock, the Skipper pulled off a try-saving to keep his side ahead by four points.

The clutch play earns this week's title of the Sharks' 'Play of the Week'.

Re-live the vital stop, with round 13's 'Play of the Week' now playing on Sharks TV.
