With skipper Paul Gallen waiting in the wings and appearing ready to make a much needed return, the Sharks take on a formidable Sydney Roosters side this Sunday at Remondis Stadium.
In a bid for a Top 8 position the Sharks will need a turnaround of form to overcome the boys from Bondi.
Cronulla struggled last week against a ramped-up Dragons and with the Roosters firing off a 4-try salvo against the hapless Melbourne, the clash this Members Round should prove to be an epic test of strength between the two sides.
Our home record against the Roosters has been exceptional with 3 wins and a draw in our last five outings since 2010.
This will be our 89th game since 1967 and our 43rd at home against the Tri-Colours.
Last time the two sides met at Remondis was in Round 07, 2014. In a closely fought game the Roosters led 12-6 at the break but despite a gallant effort second half the Sharks were on the receiving end of their first home loss to the Roosters since 2009.
Cronulla-Sutherland 18 (Sosaia Feki, Wade Graham, Ricky Leutele tries; Michael Gordon 3 goals from 3 attempts)
Sydney Roosters 24 (Shaun Kenny-Dowall 2, Boyd Cordner, James Maloney tries; James Maloney 4 goals from 4 attempts)
