Sharks youngster Jack Bird gave his first all-in interview in Cronulla colours on Wednesday ahead of the side's clash with the Roosters at the weekend.

Bird made his starting debut against the tri-colours in Round five this year, and starred on that day scoring two tries and assisting in another.

Signing with the Sharks from the Dragons with intentions to play in the centres, Bird says he is now accustomed to his halves role and hopes to retain the 'Six' jersey in the long term.

"Six is a different position ... but I'm enjoying (playing five-eighth) and hopefully I can continue playing well at Six and keep my position," he said.
