Some exciting games were played over the weekend, with two of those matches going to golden point, makes for some good performances in our fantasy teams!

It shouldn’t surprise those who saw the Cowboys v Broncos game that North Queensland five eighth Michael Morgan was the top player for the week on 88pts, followed closely by Rooster Roger Tuivasa-Sheck with 85, while Johnathan Thurston again excelled chalking up 84 in the Queensland derby match.

The Sharks leading points-getter this week was Andrew Fifita who was again the fourth highest scorer of the round on 77pts, proving he has what it takes if he receives the call up for NSW when the team is announced later today.

Jack Bird also scored well with 53pts, followed by Valentine Holmes who crossed for two tries and kicked the winning field goal in tallying 51. Wade Graham and Luke Lewis both performed well with 48pts.

The Warriors Bodene Thompson, with a season average of 50 and another good week with 72pts in the game against the Eels is one to look at investing in, along with Souths rookie Aaron Grey who after a couple of good weeks in the top grade should make some money in the coming weeks.

The usually reliable George Burgess (Souths) has been a little disappointing of late, only picking up 30pts on the weekend and in a blow to those who  had him in their Fantasy team Ryan Hoffman of the Warriors was concussed and unable to return to the field meaning he could only score one point.

One player who it may be time to get rid of is Pat Richards (Tigers) if you have him, he's losing more money and just not scoring those Fantasy points!

In the split round for Origin we only have four games over the weekend so it's going to be tough to field a full team. It might be worth using your trades to pick up a few players from Souths, the Roosters or Bulldogs, teams who have the best bye coverage.

NRL Fantasy will also be conducting the Origin Match Centre so join a league and get ready to pick a team from the NSW and QLD teams! CLICK HERE to join.

Remember Sharks fans, trade wisely!
