The NRL have begun their search for the next Rugby League superstar, with the launch of their “NRL Rookie” Reality TV Show.

With the aim of the show to perform a global search to discover new talent capable of playing at the highest level in Rugby League, the show will guarantee the winner an NRL contract.

The Rookies will live in a Sydney house and undergo intense training, coupled with a variety of challenges that seek to demonstrate their strengths and ability to transform them into elite sportsmen.

The application process is simple, provided you fit the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria:

·         Applicant must be at least 20 years of age;

·         The Applicant must never have been on an NRL first grade Top 25 Squad List or played an NRL first grade game;

·         The Applicant must not have played a Second Tier NRL match (NSW/QLD Cup) or a Holden Cup U20's in either of the last three seasons (being 2013-2015).

To apply for the competition, you must have the following:

·         A photo in your footy jumper (or a t-shirt); and

·         Photo of yourself shirtless

There is also the option of uploading a short video of yourself to showcase all of your skills for the judges.

As a final requirement that you fit the bill, you must send through the contact details for two football or sporting references the producers of the show are able to contact.

If this sounds like you, then get cracking. This is your chance to be an NRL superstar of the future!
