Sharks come through unscathed
Other than the regular bumps and bruises it appears all 12 Sharks involved in the rep round of matches have return unscathed and available to take on the Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

The Sharks had players involved in all games, with some on the winning side of the ledger, others not coming away with the points.

For the record, Jayson Bukuya was captain of the victorious Fiji team, Jack Bird a member of the Country Origin side which enjoyed a win over City, while Ricky Leutele got one up on his Sharks teammates Sosaia Feki and Pat Politoni when Samoa beat Tonga in the Pacific Tests in what was a spirited affair.

In the Junior Roos v Junior Kiwis, Valentine Holmes scored something of a freakish try and kicked a penalty goal in his teams’ win over New Zealand.

After returning to the club today for medical assessment and recovery, the players now have a rest day tomorrow before training ramps up again Wednesday in preparation for the Sharks clash with the Warriors at Remondis Stadium on Saturday.

Junior Sharks create history
For the first time in the history of the club (at least since the time records have been kept), the Sharks will have two teams in the Matthews Cup and SG Ball junior representative Grand Finals.

In matches to be played at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday, the Sharks under 16 Matts team takes on the Parramatta Eels, while in the SG Ball the under 18 Sharks play Souths.

The Sharks have never won an SG Ball competition, while they have claimed the Matthews Cup title on three occasions – 1973, 1977 and in 2001.

Watch for more related media as to our junior rep teams in the lead up to the games on Saturday, however if you missed it, see below links to the match reports and a photo gallery from St Marys Stadium last weekend.
