STOP PRESS: The Test Match between Australia and New Zealand was postponed last night at Suncorp Stadium and will now be played on Sunday afternoon, kicking off at 4.00pm.

The City v Country match has been brought forward to accomodate this change, with that game to now be played at 2.00pm in Wagga.

At this stage the games set down for Saturday will go ahead as scheduled.

See the updated kick off times below.

Locally the ANZAC Test tonight, followed by a weekend of representative rugby league matches, are sure to stimulate plenty of interest over the next three days.

In all 12 Sharks in action in a variety of games, some more significant than others, but all likely to induce more than a passing glance from footy fans.

However outstripping all those games combined for hype, media attention and anticipation, is the long-awaited Floyd Mayweather v Manny Pacquiao super fight from Las Vegas.

The pair are set to earn obscene amounts of money for getting into the ring and finally coming to blows in a title fight that has been five years in the making.

While Sharks skipper Paul Gallen wouldn’t necessarily class himself as a boxing expert after a handful of forays into the ring, he does take a keen interest in the sport, which makes it disappointing for him he will be otherwise occupied for when the fight gets underway just after lunch on Monday.

“I’ve got a prior engagement commentating for 2MMM on Sunday and I’ll miss the fight, which I’m not happy about but there’s not much I can do,” Gallen said. “Hopefully they will have access to it in the studio, but we’re on-air for six hours.

“I really wanted to see it. No doubt it will be a great fight.”

So unfortunately Gallen won’t be at the Locker Room this Sunday, but the sports bar in Sharkies Leagues club still shapes as the perfect place to watch the Mayweather-Pacquiao stoush, not to mention all of the rugby league action taking place over the course of the weekend.

The rep games begin tonight with ANZAC Test, continue on Saturday with the Junior Roos and Kiwis, then the Pacific Tests, before the City Country game on Sunday.

All games will be shown in the Locker Room at Sharkies, where the fight will also air on Sunday beginning at 11.00am, with the main event scheduled for sometime around 1.00pm.

See below the scheduled telecast times for what will be a feast of sport, all ‘loud and live’ in the Locker Room Sports Bar in Sharkies Leagues Club this weekend.
