After four wins in succession the Newtown Jets his something of a speed bump last weekend when beaten 24-8 by competition leading Mounties in a match that was in the balance until the final 10 minutes of the contest.
Trailing by just 10-8 in the 70th minute Mounties ran away with the points however the Jets showed enough to indicate they will still be a force in the VB NSW Cup competition throughout the 2015 season.
With injuries and suspension affecting both the Sharks NRL squad and the Jets NSW Cup team, a side minus a number of regular faces has been chosen to face a Warriors side also sitting on eight competition points but trailing the Jets on for-and-against.
The Jets and Warriors match gets underway at 9.45am on Saturday (Australian Eastern Time) and will be shown live on Fox Sports.
