Two NYC teams who managed to notch their first wins on the 2015 season  ast weekend will come face to face on Sunday when the Sharks and Roosters clash at Allianz Stadium.

The Sharks got the proverbial monkey off the back with a solid 30-10 win over the Titans at home on Saturday, while the Roosters were equally impressive in smashing the highly rated Raiders side by 46-16 to open their account.

For a Sharks team that has shown glimpse of what they are capable of in their previous three matches without being successful in claiming a win, the performance against the Titans was easily their most complete, with the team competing strongly for the duration of the match.

Josh Addo-Carr was dangerous from the fullback position, scoring an outstanding long-range try, but it was a dominant effort from the forward pack that paved the way for the 20-point win.

Their opponents the Roosters also found form in their big win over Canberra, with highly touted halfback Jackson Hastings the man to watch this weekend if the Sharks hope to come out on top.

The Sharks will unfortunately go into the match against the Roosters without their star number seven, with local boy Connor Tracey sidelined with a serious knee injury.

Tracey sustained the injury in the last five minutes of the Gold Coast match and is expected to miss the remainder of the 2015 season.

Travis Edwards, who coincidently joined the Sharks after playing his junior rep football with the Roosters, shifts to half back for Sunday’s match, with Monson Paewai the new five eighth.

The Sharks v Roosters NYC clash is scheduled for a 1.45pm kick off at Allianz Stadium on Sunday.
