Sharks coach Shane Flanagan has shuffled his NRL line up for their match against the Roosters with young guns Valentine Holmes and Jack Bird set to play somewhat different roles this weekend.
Holmes has been selected at fullback, with Michael Gordon going to the wing, while Bird comes into the starting side in the number six jersey, a fitting reward for his outstanding debut performance against the Titans last Saturday night.
Flanagan has also relegated Andrew Fifita to the interchange bench, a role which suited the big front rower during his breakout season in 2013.
After a heart-breaking lost to the Titans, the changes are obviously aimed at shaking up the Sharks squad in a bid to notch that first win of 2015 when they face the Roosters on Sunday.
The match at Allianz Stadium is scheduled for a 4.00pm kick off on Easter Sunday, with the NYC match to get underway at 1.45pm.
