Sharks coach Shane Flanagan has named Luke Lewis on an extended bench for his teams’ game against the Storm on Saturday, with the NSW and Australian rep edging ever-closer to a return to the field.

Lewis is well on the road to recovery following off-season knee surgery and will definitely be a boost to the Sharks line up if passed fit to resume this weekend.

The Sharks head south well aware of the importance of the clash with the Storm, especially on the back of two disappointing losses at home and will be determined to open their account in 2015 with a win in the hostile environment of AAMI Park in Melbourne.

Flanagan has refused to push any panic buttons and has resisted the urge to make wholesale changes, with youngster Valentine Holmes retaining his place on the wing, while Sam Tagataese has been named to return after coming through his first game for 2015 in the NSW Cup last Saturday.

Michael Ennis, who escaped suspension after being charged with contrary conduct by the match review committee will take his place in the side once again at hooker, while Matt Prior reverts to the bench after starting the last two games in the Sharks front row.

For those fans not making the trip to Melbourne, take in the all the action with your fellow Sharks supporters in the Locker Room in Sharkies Leagues Club.

Kick off on Saturday night is at 7.30pm
