Kyle Stanley’s unlucky run with injury has unfortunately continued with the utility back injuring his knee while playing for the Sharks NSW Cup partners the Newtown Jets.

Stanley limped from the field during the second half of the match last weekend, with scans revealing an ACL tear to the same knee to which he has had suffered a similar injury previously.

While the injury has been confirmed, the type of surgery required to correct the problem and the amount of time he is likely to be out of the game has yet to be determined.

The Sharks have rallied around Stanley and are offering him whatever support is possible as he attempts to come to terms with this latest setback.
