The Sharks are encouraging fans to show their true colours and fly the flag for Cronulla at all home games this season, creating an active supporter area to be known as the “Shark Tank”.

The area, to be situated on the grass behind the southern goalposts in front of the of the Monty Porter Stand, is a meeting place for fans who would like to get involved with game day chants and help create a fun atmosphere.

The Sharks have provided this space as part of the club’s commitment to creating a fully engaging and entertaining game-day experience.

There is no restriction on the size of the flag (but conditions apply to the flag pole – see below), with custom-made large flags available on order through Sharks fan Mark West.

Mark has hand-made nine flags of varying sizes in the past two weeks – the largest being 4m x 4m and taking up to 12hours to make.

Seven flags have been for Sydney-based fans and two for Queensland supporters.

To order a flag, Mark can be contacted on 0416019576

There are only two Stadium Conditions of Entry relating to flags:

a.       Flag poles composed of materials other than plastic or wood or greater than 1.5m in length are not permitted inside the venue

b.      Signs, banners, flags and clothing displaying offensive, political, National, racial or unauthorised commercial material are not permitted inside the venue.
