Look out for the ‘Shark Cry’

The ‘Shark Cry’ was introduced to more than 100 kids this morning with pupils from Yarrawarrah Primary and Lucas Heights Community Schools in attendance.

The students were taking part in a four week long Backyard League program at the Ridge Sporting Complex, with the Sharks having the opportunity to engage with kids before the clinic got underway.

The Shark Cry was led by Tim Thorne and supported by Sharks NYC squad members Jayden McDonogh, Josh Addo-Carr and Thomas Levi, with the players finishing off their involvement by signing autographs, answering a few questions and participating in some games with the kids.

The Sharks will return next week to visit those students who they didn't get around to today.

At the Backyard League event the Sharks also took the chance to promote Junior Rugby League and also information regarding the opportunities for boys and girls to register their interest to play touch/tag at Remondis Stadium during half-time of Sharks home games throughout the 2015 season.
