The NYC Sharks face a tough assignment when they come up against the competition leading Newcastle Knights on Sunday at Remondis Stadium.
The young Sharks were again competitive in going down to another of the Holden Cup high flyers in the Sydney Roosters at their last start, with lapses at key moments once more contributing to their down fall.
There were however plenty of good moments, enough to give them hope of an upset result against the Newcastle team on Sunday.
The Sharks will also be buoyed by the return of fullback Valentine Holmes, with the talented number one scoring three tries after being promoted to play for the NSW Cup Sharks the last weekend.
The NYC match is scheduled to get under way at 12.45pm at Remondis Stadium on Sunday.
