Sharks skipper Paul Gallen will be attempting to achieve something he has so far in his career been unable to do, which is claim a State of Origin series victory for NSW.
Again anointed captain and the man to lead the Blues into battle, Gallen will be joined in the NSW side by Sharks teammate Luke Lewis.
The pair missed the Sharks loss to the Dragons on Saturday night, Gallen with a neck injury, Lewis a knee problem, however they are both expected to be fully fit come kickoff to the second Origin match against Queensland on June 18.
The game is set down for ANZ Stadium in Sydney, with the NSW squad going into camp in Coffs Harbour today, just as they did prior to Origin game one two weeks ago.
The NSW team came with no real surprises, with Will Hopoate from the Eels coming into the side on the wing, Josh Dugan from the Dragons in the centres. The two newcomers have been brought in for the injured Morris twins Josh and Brett.
Greg Bird also makes a return after missing Origin 1 due to suspension, with Tony Williams omitted from the squad.
