When Fa’amanu Brown was named in the Toa Samoa squad for the Pacific Test match against Fiji it was a proud moment for his family.

As a result, Brown’s brother captured the moment in detailing the Skype call Fa’amanu made to his parents in revealing his selection in what was a heartwarming and well presented video.

One can only imagine the family will be sitting back in Christchurch very proud once again, with Fa’amanu chosen by Sharks coach Peter Sharp to make his NRL debut on Saturday night.

Brown, along with fellow debutant Jacob Gagan, will take on the Dragons in the local derby match, with the team to be officially announced later today.

While their opportunity comes as a result of a huge injury toll at the Sharks, both are certain to take the chance with open arms and to put in spirited performances against the Dragons down at WIN Stadium this weekend.

For those who missed it, see the Brown family video the last time Fa’amanu had some good news to tell. Hopefully after a strong showing and a win by the Sharks on Saturday he will have another happy Skype call to make back home.
