A depleted NSW Cup Sharks outfit went within a whisker of pulling off an upset victory over the competition leading Wentworthville Magpies last weekend and with some experienced personnel back on deck will be confident of a bold showing when they play the Wests Tigers this weekend.
With up to eight changes to the selected team for their game against the Magpies, the Sharks will be hoping to field a more settled line up on Saturday, with the likes of Nathan Stapleton, Tim Robinson and Tupou Sopoaga set to return.
They could however be without the services of youngster Michael Lichaa, with the young hooker named on an extended bench with the NRL squad. Lichaa was rated amongst the Sharks best in their 32-30 loss to Wenty.
Ben Roberts from the Melbourne Storm is another interesting addition to the side at five eighth, while with Mahe Fonua and Travis Robinson in the centres the Sharks will field a formidable NSW Cup backline.
The NSW Cup clash will be the second of three games to be played against the Wests Tigers at Remondis on Saturday, with the match scheduled to kick off at 3.15pm.
