He runs hard and tackles hard, both strong attributes for a rugby league front rower, with Mark Mexico doing all the right things in his quest to one day become an NRL player.

Brought to the Sharks via the PNG Hunters who now compete in the Queensland Cup competition, maybe coincidently, maybe not, Mexico has played a part in three consecutive wins for the Sharks NSW Cup team since arriving at Cronulla, victories which have the team back in the top eight after a slow start to their 2014 campaign.

He now has his sights set on the NRL and with determination in his eyes, there is every chance he will ultimately achieve his goal.

Sharks TV caught up with Mexico for this week’s first installment of Friday ‘Face to Face’ discussing his background, his desire to play at the highest level and how he is settling into life in the ‘big smoke’.

Already a fan favourite, see what Mexico had to say on Friday ‘Face to Face, now playing on Sharks TV.
