The Sharks will be out to reverse a three-game losing streak at Pirtek Stadium when they meet the Eels in Monday night football.

In their last meeting away from Remondis, in round five last season, the Eels prevailed 13-6 in a hard fought contest, with the Sharks turning the tables later in the year with a 32-14 home win.

In all matches played between the two clubs the Sharks hold a narrow 41-37 advantage, however in 43 matches away from home Cronulla teams have registered just 19 wins.

With Luke Lewis playing his first game for 2014 and Paul Gallen approaching peak match fitness after six weeks out with an ankle injury, the Sharks will be confident of success but wary of a Parramatta team showing considerable improvement on their form from last season.

Sharks Historian Jeff Petersen has put together a comprehensive listing of the statistics for games played between the Sharks and Eels and not surprisingly some great names in the history of the Sharks feature prominently.
