The NYC Sharks will be desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight however the assignment will be a difficult one when they face the second-placed Parramatta Eels on Monday night.

Refreshed after a week off due to the rep weekend, the Sharks were gallant in defeat against the Panthers in round eight, but it will take an even better effort should they hope to upset the Eels in the match to be played at Parramatta Stadium.

The Eels will be riding high on confidence after scoring a comprehensive 64-4 win over the Cowboys at their last start.

For the Sharks coach Dave Howlett has limited the changes, with Chad McGill into the Sharks starting side and Patrice Siolo returning from injury.

Fa’amanu Brown, who missed the Samoan test v Fiji with a knee injury, has been selected as the Sharks half back and captain.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 4.45pm at Parramatta Stadium on Monday night.
