There were no excuses being used by coach Peter Sharp or captain Wade Graham at the post-match press confernece.
Sharp was to the point when asked about the injury crisis, one that sees Paul Gallen, Luke Lewis, Anthony Tupou, Beau Ryan and Jeff Robson amongst those unavialable.
"It doesn't matter who is and who isn't playing in the NRL you just have to win games," Sharp said.
Graham addressed the issue of the high level of emotion surrounding the game due to the horrific injury to Knight Alex McKinnon, while also agreeing with Sharp that the performance his team had delivered was not up to scratch.
