Sam Tagataese: NRL Round 20

Entering his 100th game in the NRL, Sam Tagataese has certainly hit form at the right time.

A ‘gentle giant’ off the field, the Sharks number one ‘hit man’ on it, Tagataese has gone from fringe first grader to one of the first picked in the Cronulla 17 each week after playing some of his best and most consistent football towards the back end of the 2013 season.

Just two weeks into the New Year big Sam is giving every indication there is plenty more still to come with 2014 having the potential to become his best year yet.

In an interview with Sharks TV on Friday morning, Tagataese covered off on a number of topics, while admitting the 100 games probably should and could have come a little sooner than the six and a bit seasons it has taken him to get there.

Tagataese did however go on to say he is excited about the prospects for both himself and the team tomorrow when the Sharks host the Dragons, playing in front of a predicted large and parochial crowd.
