Valentine Holmes and Fa’amanu Brown, two of the stars of the Auckland Nines for the Sharks when called up to the top squad, scored three and two tries respectively in leading the way for the NYC Sharks in their first round demolition of the Titans.

The pair were outstanding against their own age group, but it must be said they had a host of willing accomplices in the 50-22 victory, which means it came as no surprise that coach Dave Howlett has made very few changes to the team for the round two match with the Bulldogs.

Howlett has recalled Anthony Moraitis and Winstone Asotasi, with pair missing from the Titans game with illness and injury, with checks on their fitness to be carried out later in the week ahead of the game on Monday.

Dallas Wells, who filled in for Moraitis in the centres in the Titans match, reverts to the wing, while Ben Chahoud goes back to the interchange bench after starting at lock for Asotasi.

The Sharks v Bulldogs match in the NYC is scheduled for a 4.45pm kickoff at ANZ Stadium on Monday night.
