In their first hit out since the of the summer pre-season, the Sharks junior reps dusted off the cobwebs in encouraging performances against Souths at Erskinville Oval.

Cronulla's SG Ball and Matthews Cup squads both acquitted themselves admirably in the warm conditions, with coaches Darren Capovilla and Dave Howlett running a careful eye over proceedings with their next task to trim squads back to the final 25 before the start of the season proper in February.

The Sharks Junior reps have three more trials in the New Year, against Canberra at home on January 25, the Balmain Tigers at a venue yet to be determined on Friday, January 31, before concluding their pre-season campaign with a game against Western Suburbs on February 8. Again a time and venue for that trial has yet to be determined with all trials subject to change.
